Flood Response Team
Central Texas Flooding July 2025
FAQs
What’s happening?
Men, this is a no-obligation form below for you to submit if you have a desire to help our brothers & sisters in the Texas Hill Country after the devastating flood events over the July 4th weekend. We’re mobilizing men from the GMI network to go and serve and help do whatever we can — whether it’s mucking out houses, removing debris, serving meals, or whatever the job may be. We’re looking for men that are hardworking, willing, and servant-minded. If that’s you, we’d love to have you join the team being put together for this.
When do we go?
Uncertain at this time. Likely, within 2-3 weeks time — maybe sooner, maybe later. GCF Brenham is in communication with churches in Kerrville, trying to map out a plan. That’s why this is a no-obligation form — we realize that dates are important, and that not everyone that expresses a desire to go will be able to make the actual dates.
What will I need?
Because we’re heading into a disaster area, we’re planning to be self-sufficient. We cannot count on anything being available locally.
Here’s some basics you can expect to bring:
- Bedding (cot/air mattress, pillow, blanket, etc.)
- Work gloves
- Tools
- Bug spray
- Sunscreen
Who all’s going?
You can view the list of men that are registered on the module on this page.
What about donations?
Yes, we’re anticipating being able to take in a big load of donated items/supplies when we go.
For any financial donations, we’re working to establish a clear, trustworthy avenue there locally on the ground for that.
