Our Purpose
Jesus says in Mark 11:17, “My House shall be called a house of prayer.”
Everything begins with prayer. We pray with James’ encouragement in view: “You do not have because you do not ask” (James 4:2), and with the words of the Apostle Paul: “First of all, then, I urge that entreaties and prayers, petitions and thanksgivings, be made on behalf of all men, for kings and all who are in authority, so that we may lead a tranquil and quiet life in all godliness and dignity” (1 Timothy 2:1-2).
The intercessory prayer team here at Grace Community Fellowship devote themselves to prayer, interceding on behalf of our church family and ministries, our community, Texas, our great nation, and the world at large.
In obedience to Christ, we follow the pattern of the persistent widow (Luke 18:1-8) and the man needing bread for his friend (Luke 11:5-13). We remind the Lord, as He commands us in Scripture (Isaiah 62:6). We pray, believing we have received the things we ask for in His name (Matthew 21:22).
This ministry’s objective is to open the doors for God to continue moving among us in a miraculous, supernatural way, glorifying the Name of the Lord Jesus Christ.
