Matt serves as Lead Pastor at GCF Brenham. Born and raised in Wharton, Texas, Matt previously served as an associate pastor at GCF Wharton. His heart is to see both young and old, singles and families, be transformed by the power of Christ as they experience Him in a new and fresh way. Over the years, Matt has been privileged to travel extensively with his father, Myles, preaching and ministering at many different places and events around the world, including Ukraine, Georgia, Africa, Poland, and more. Matt has been married to his sweetheart, Oksana, since 2009. They currently have two sons, Logan and Chase.
Mike serves as both Associate Pastor and Elder at GCF Brenham. Mike has served in the ministry for over a decade now, beginning with children’s ministry alongside his wife Leslie. Mike enjoys sharing the Word of God through his teachings, and has had many opportunities to speak at children and youth conferences, a men’s conference in Bulgaria, a Ukrainian Pastor’s conference, in addition to Sunday morning services at GCFB. Mike married his wife Leslie in 1993, and they have four children: Ashley, Nicholas, Zachary and Emily.
Mike serves as Pastor Emeritus of GCF Brenham, having stepped down from Lead Pastor in January 2019. He and his wife Debera have three children, and at the present time 10 grandchildren. Mike was gloriously saved in 1985 at the age of 31, and felt the call to pastoral ministry within a year of his salvation experience. In 1987, Mike began that journey by accepting a call as pastor to a small Baptist church in Rock Island, Texas. He graduated from Southwestern Baptist Theological Seminary in 1990 with an Associates Degree, and has been actively involved in pastoral ministry for the past 25+ years. Under Mike’s founding leadership, GCF Brenham has grown into a church that is full of life, and full of transformed lives, as it continues to grow in its influence in Brenham and the surrounding region.
