There aren’t many people around you who understand the pain your divorce or separation has caused. To you. Your family. Your friends. That’s the reason for DivorceCare. It’s a series of support groups and seminars conducted by people who understand what you are experiencing. Most importantly, you’ll learn how to deal with the pain of the past and look forward to rebuilding your life. DivorceCare is nondenominational, and features biblical teaching for recovering from divorce and separation.
At DivorceCare, you will become part of a small support group of people who are also experiencing separation and divorce. By interacting with these people, you’ll learn there are others who understand what you are feeling and who will be able to offer you encouragement. You’ll also have a chance to talk about the information presented during the seminar. Many participants say these support groups are the most helpful part of the program.
The leadership team for DivorceCare consists of people who understand how you feel and have a real concern for individuals who are experiencing separation and divorce.
GCF Brenham is offering a DivorceCare support group for those who have been divorced or who are in the process of being divorced. Beginning January 2021 (exact starting date TBD), the group will meet for 13 weeks on Thursdays from 5:30-7:30 pm (a brief meal together each night is included, from 5:30 – 6:00 PM). This ministry is open to all participants for $15/person (paid at the door). Scholarships are available.
