Children on Sundays

General Information

We know how uncomfortable it can be to visit a church for the first time.  Where do we go?  What do they offer?  Where do I take the kids?  As a parent with a child or children, we want you and your child to feel as comfortable as possible while visiting today.  Here is some helpful information for you!

Nursery / Toddler Care (ages 0-5)

We have a nursery and toddler area available for children 0-5 years old.  The nursery wing is to the right of the main foyer.  There is a nursery worker waiting for you at a table to check in your child and to answer your questions about our nursery.  Please fill out the short information sheet about you and your child.  The information will be entered into our system and you and your child will be given matching stickers.  When you pick up your child after the service, your sticker will be matched with your child and then they will be released to you.  We do not allow big brothers or sisters to pick up their siblings, so please come by and get them once the service is over.  The toddlers (age 3-5) will have a Sunday school type lesson shared with them during the service.

Sunday School (First Service)

We offer Sunday School for kids in kindergarten – 5th grade in the first service.  Your children will stay with you until our worship service (the music part) is over.  The screen will flash a sign that indicates that Sunday school is starting.  The kids will all meet in front of the Kids Check-in station to meet their teacher and walk to their classroom.  For the safety of your children, the teacher will not release any children until you come get them after the service.  We want to keep them safe and comfortable in their new surroundings and not wandering around lost and scared.  A member of the Kids Check-In team will show you where the classroom is located in the building.

Sunday School (Second Service)

In the second service we offer a traditional Sunday school class for kids from pre-K – 5th grade.  Your children will stay with you until our worship service (the music part) is over.  The screen will flash a sign that indicates that Sunday school is starting.  The kids will all meet in front of the Kids Check-in station to meet their teacher and walk to their respective classrooms.  After the service, all of the children will be waiting in the Fellowship Hall until you come get them.  We want to keep them safe and comfortable in their new surroundings and not wandering around lost and scared.  A member of the Kids Check-In team will show you where the classrooms are located in the building.

Cry Room

We have a cry room for your convenience if you need it during the message.  You can enter the cry room through the foyer.  You will be able to hear and see everything that is going on.

Nursing Mothers

Nursing mothers are welcome to use the Cry Room.  The room has a sheer curtain for privacy so that you can continue to listen to the Sunday message as well as a rocking chair for your comfort.  You may also take your child to the nursery where there is a privacy area with a rocking chair for your comfort.
